A booking platform built around the fleet

How we replaced off-the-shelf rental software with a custom booking platform for Senior World, a mobility equipment rental business in Fuengirola — and how we run their advertising on Meta.

The Challenge

Senior World rents mobility equipment — scooters, wheelchairs, profiling beds, hoists — across the Costa del Sol from its base in Fuengirola. The subscription software it ran on didn't fit the business:

The Solution

We built the rental back-office from scratch. The idea it rests on: a contract and a physical unit are separate things. A contract holds unit assignments, each with its own dates — so swapping a customer's scooter mid-rental closes one assignment and opens another, without touching the contract or recalculating the price, and the returned unit is free again the same day.

On top sits a price engine with the full 2026 rate card and the delivery charge for each of the 11 zones. Availability is tracked unit by unit on a calendar, and invoicing lives in the same place: one invoice per rental, correlative numbering with no gaps, VAT broken out backwards from the rate card. Since the system holds names, ID documents and the equipment each person uses — health data under Article 9 of the GDPR — access is role-based from the start.

Advertising on Meta

We also run their paid acquisition on Facebook and Instagram, built through the Meta Marketing API: targeting the Costa del Sol, ages 45 and up, with ads in Spanish and English. The creative package — 25 carousel cards, a 4:5 feed image, a 9:16 story and a 23-second video master — was produced in-house from the client's own material.

Where it stands

The platform is deployed and loaded with the real business: 127 units across 11 equipment types, the full 2026 rate card and the 11 delivery zones, with the price engine covered by its own tests. The subscription tool it replaces gets switched off as the changeover completes, and the Meta campaign is built and ready to go live.
